Friends, residents of the City of Doral, public officials and members of the business community crowded the city’s Intercontinental Hotel to celebrate Councilwoman Bettina Rodriguez-Aguilera’s birthday. Bettina, who is running for reelection next year, thanked her guests for attending the event and supporting her efforts to continue to strengthen Doral’s growth and protect its quality of life.

“Hundreds of businesses are moving here (to Doral) every month. Why do you think all of these people come here?” she asked the group during her brief speech. “Because we have a great city!”

Ms. Rodriguez-Aguilera told her audience that the City of Doral must be the most prosperous, best prepared, and most inclusive municipality in Miami-Dade County —and even the state of Florida. She actively champions causes like violence against women, more/better jobs for the disabled, improving job skills for those seeking to enter the workforce, and many more.

Dozen of unwrapped new toys were donated by the guests to support the councilwoman’s Christmas toy drive.
