 the “hottest” place in South Florida as it hosted Latin Builders Association’s 34th Annual Awards luncheon, with special guest and featured speaker, Florida Governor Rick Scott. More than 600 business leaders, LBA members, state and local public officials and the press were on hand to welcome the governor to the event. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, State Representatives Erik Fresen and Eddy Gonzalez;  City of Doral Mayor Luigi Boria, Councilwomen Sandra Ruiz and Bettina Rodriguez -Aguilera; Miami-Dade Commissioners Rebeca Sosa, Esteban Bovo and Jose (Pepe) Diaz were also present.

Developer Armando Codina, Chairman of Codina Partners, who was honored with LBA’s 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership, vision and success, thanked the association and wowed the crowd with a funny, yet heartfelt speech about his career and outlook on business and life.

“One’s most important achievement,” Codina said, “is definitely one’s family.”
