THE TAIPEI ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL OFFICE IN MIAMI AND THE TAIWAN TRADE CENTER OF MIAMI HOSTED AN AMAZING EVENING OF WHISKEY AND HAUTE COUTURE ON MIAMI BEACH
Director General Ray H. W. Mou from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and Director David Liu from the Taiwan Trade Center, both Miami-based agencies, welcomed members of the South Florida business community, local dignitaries and the press to the Taiwanese Fashion and Scotch Tasting Gala. The elegant event, promoting “Quality Brands of the Republic of China (Taiwan),” was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center as part of the activities of the Asia America Trade Show.
The evening’s keynote speaker, former Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL), outlined the Republic of China’s considerable accomplishments, underscored the spirit and strength of its people, and thanked the nation of Taiwan for its enduring friendship and collaboration with the United States.
The elegant event, promoting “Quality Brands of the Republic of China (Taiwan),” presented two of Taiwan’s extraordinary products that are now gaining worldwide recognition: award-winning Kavalan whiskey and haute couture by fashion designer Shiatzy Chen.
After a brief audiovisual presentation by two of Taiwan’s extraordinary products that are now gaining worldwide recognition, award-winning Kavalan whiskey and haute couture by fashion designer Shiatzy Chen, guests and VIPs were “wowed” twice —first with the breathtaking beauty of two gowns by Ms. Chen and then during the special scotch tasting, which provided attendees with what may have been their first (and definitely unforgettable) experience with Kavalan’s remarkable quality and bouquet.
The President and Vice President of the Doral Overseas Chinese Business Chamber of Commerce, Charles Cheng and Pedro Cheng, and Sunny Isles Beach Vice Mayor Lewis Thaler were also present at the event.
